JRiver MC
JRiver Media Center (MC) is a comprehensive media software for Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems. It supports audio and video playback of both stereo and multi-channel recordings. In addition, it comes with various digital signal processing tools. myHRTF Personalized Filters can be loaded in the Convolution section of the DSP Studio and applied to music and movies in realtime. JRiver MC supports automatic switching of sampling rates. More information about JRiver MC can be found here. Given the amount of features it offers, JRiver MC is priced quite reasonably.
Installation
Download myHRTF Personalized Filters to a folder of choice on your PC or laptop. Download the latest version of JRiver MC here and install it.
Configuration
Go to the Player menu and select DSP Studio.... Then load the configuration of choice from myHRTF Personalized Filters for JRiver MC by clicking Browse. Untick Normalize filter volume since this has been taken care for during the design of the filters already. Tick Use small filters to reduce latency especially when you plan to watch movies with JRiver MC, see Latency section for details. Tick Automatically switch filter based on input format, see Sampling Rate section for details.
Now, all music and movie files that you play are filtered by myHRTF Personalized Filters. You my change the filters at any time by loading a different filter configuration as described above.
Sampling rate
For best performance, the sampling rate of myHRTF Personalized Filters should match the sampling rate of the file being played. If configured as described above, JRiver MC automatically selects the myHRTF Personalized Filter with matching sampling rate. For this purpose, myHRTF Personalized Filters come in all standard sampling rates.

Multi-Channel
JRiver MC supports playback of multi-channel music files. A multi-channel audio interface is not required since multi-channel files are binaurally rendered to two channels inside JRiver MC and output as stereo.
